Writers

Firstly, we’re very glad that you want to write for us.
You could take one of the following options with regards your literary contributions:

I. Single, Independent Article

This means that you have an idea for an article that is one time piece. It isn’t recurring but it is a single post on our website. You could keep picking different topics and do this multiple times over a period and that can be decided by you.

We would like the content of these articles to be informative: increase awareness of issues around animal welfare, aspects of care for different kinds of animals – pets and strays, some generic tips on taking care of pets, and other directly useful stuff. Will potentially need some research / googling etc to create this.

II. Regular Column

What this means is that you write for us consistently every week or every fortnight or every month (which can be mutually decided by us). This requires a commitment on your part. You will figure out how many articles you can write and for how long?

Content

Informative: Increase awareness of issues around animal welfare, aspects of care for different kinds of animals – pets and strays, some generic tips on taking care of pets, and other directly useful stuff. Will potentially need some research / googling etc to create this.

OR

Entertainment: On a more fun theme, recurring, with tidbits of useful information thrown in where ever possible, if they fit. This is literally creative, literary writing so to speak.

Length

With regards the word count, we do think that an entertainment column can afford to be longer than a more informative sort of piece. While we don’t have a number to be honest, use your judgement (<800 words would be a good guide to go with though), and if we feel it’s too much we might chip off parts, with your help. If it’s an informative piece, one can always break it down into two parts.

If it wasn’t obvious, to put it upfront, we won’t be able to pay you for this writing, this will be paid in good karma, and tons of love from us, and the animals who are benefiting from our combined efforts.

However, if you have something else in mind, we are very open to discussing it.
